Abstract
An apparatus has been described which makes it possible to determine dielectric constants of gases and vapors and their dependence on temperature over a range of several hundred degrees. The electric moments of gaseous carbon bisulphide and nitrous oxide have been measured and found to be zero. These results indicate a linear arrangement of the three atoms forming each molecule. Keywords
