Abstract
This communication is concerned with the case of a 3-year old girl who had shown a moderately severe bleeding tendency since the age of 6 months. The cause of the bleeding could be clearly attributed to a marked deficiency in plasma proaccelerin and platelet accelerator factor. Abnormalities were also found in the clotting time, prothrombin consumption and Quick test. That this was probably familial in nature was suggested by moderately reduced plasma proaccelerin levels in the patient’s parents and in one sibling.*Keywords
