Abstract
Thermally stimulated discharge current studies on the compression-molded thin films of polypropylene-polycarbonate blends (of various weight ratios) indicate that polycarbonate dipoles are so constrained in the blends that they do not contribute much to the total polarization. The observed polarization seems to be mainly due to formation of induced dipoles, which are formed by deep trapping of charge carriers originating in the bulk during polarization. The effects of variation of field and temperature on polarization have also been studied in different blend ratios. Keywords
