Abstract
Additional properties are reported for the thick‐walled domain model introduced in a previous paper. Substantial magnetostatic wall broadening is shown to occur when the dimensionless anisotropy is of the order q≲3. When q ∼ 1, the wall thickness may be as much as 75% larger than the wall thickness of the corresponding infinite planar Bloch wall, lw=π(A/Ku)1/2. The size and range of variation of the wall thickness are shown to preclude the formulation of a useful generalization of the usual bubble force equation unless q≳3. Several parameters of particular relevance to device work are presented as functions of q, and a brief treatment of the interaction of thick‐walled bubbles is given.
