Abstract
The red alga, C. purpureum, contains agglutinins which selectively agglutinate mouse leukemia L-5178-Y cells but not mouse leukemia L-1210 cells. It agglutinated [guinea pig, mouse] erythrocytes, lymphocytes and a marine bacterium [Microcyclus marinus]. The major component was a glycoprotein having a MW of 12,500 daltons. It contained 5.6% carbohydrates and consisted of 2 subunits. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
