Abstract

.alpha.1-Antitrypsin phenotypes were investigated in 65 patients with acute anterior uveitis. These patients did not suffer from any additional systemic disease and showed a highly significant increase of HLA antigen B27. No association with the .alpha.1-antitrypsin phenotype MZ, as described previously, or with other phenotypes of this system was detected.
