Abstract
Recent observations of quadratic dependence of refractive‐index change with depth in waveguides formed on the surface of soda‐lime glass by ion exchange with molten silver nitrate are shown to be reasonably consistent with expectations based on the theory of ion‐exchange diffusion, assuming a fixed surface silver concentration. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
