Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 58-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of confusion.He was well until nine years earlier, when a large anterior mediastinal mass was found, and he was admitted to this hospital. At operation the mass was considered unresectable; microscopical examination of a biopsy specimen showed a malignant thymoma. Radiation treatment in a total dose of 4000 rad was administered to the mediastinum, followed by evidence of radiation pneumonitis. During the next few years the patient was considered unable to tolerate radical surgical extirpation of the tumor. Five years before admission left pleural densities were seen . . .Keywords
