Surface Recombination and Heat Transfer in a Dissociated Diatomic Gas—Part 1

Abstract
In Part 1 of this two-part paper, a method is described for the investigation of surface catalytic effects and heat transfer in a dissociated diatomic gas. Description is given of the experimental apparatus and the method and theory of testing. Part 2 shows the results obtained by using the equipment with hydrogen gas. A comparison of these results with theory is given and some conclusions are drawn about the recombination of atoms on surfaces.
