Abstract
A discussion of the Little & Tremaine (LT) analysis in an infinite logarithmic halo potential $$\Phi (r)\,=\,v_{c}^{2}$$ log r is presented. It is shown that the value of the circular speed $$v_{c}^{2}$$ predicted by LT is a rescaling (by a factor depending only on the number of observations N) of a simpler result.
