Abstract
Experiments are described in which phospho-creatine was determined in the muscles of the frog and rat simultaneously by the direct method of Fiske and Subbarow (J. Biol. Chem., 81, 629, 1929) and by the indirect method of Lohmann and Jendrassik (Biochem. Z., 178, 419, 1926). The values obtained by the former method were mostly a little lower in the case of frog muscle, but 50% lower in the case of rat muscle, than the values estimated by the method of Lohmann and Jendrassik.
