Exoerythrocytic Stages of Plasmodium nucleophilum

Abstract

Study of a small number of exoerythrocytic stages in the spleen of a canary infected with P. nucleophilum revealed close similarities to corresponding stages of P. huffi. These similarities suggest that P. nucleophilum and P. huffi may be closely related or identical. Strains of neither species are available for further study.
