Abstract
Muscle extractives of the emu were isolated. Anserine and methyl guanidine were identified by elementary analysis. Xanthine was reported but the analyses of the chloride agree better with hydrated hypoxanthine hydrochloride, which was to be expected. Creatine was identified by the Jaffe test. A mixture of chlorplatinates thought to contain carnitine and choline was also obtained.[long dash]The note by Ackermann and Hoppe-Seyler is an apparently just criticism of some of Tolkatschewskaia''s statements.
