Abstract
Demagnetization matrices are defined for cylindrical rings. It is assumed that the magnetization pattern has cylindrical symmetry. An examination of the symmetry properties of these matrices shows that certain components are zero. The components of the demagnetization matrices can be expressed as elliptic integrals. For rings of rectangular cross section then the results are expressed in terms of the parameters which describe the ring. Computational algorithms are discussed. Keywords
