Abstract
WEDDS, the WITS Encrypted Data DeliverySystem, is a framework for supporting distributed missionoperations by automatically transferring sensitive missiondata in a secure and efficient manner to and from remotemission participants over the Internet. WEDDS wasoriginally developed as part of WITS, the Web Interface forTelescience, and will be used in the 1998 Mars Polar LanderMission to support distributed mission operations over theInternet for the first time in NASA history.
