Abstract
Second-order splitting has been observed in the E.S.R. spectrum of the monopositive ion of pyracene. Excellent agreement is found upon comparing the experimental transition frequencies and intensities with those predicted by theory. The observed line-width variations of the various hyperfine components indicate that the two isotropic coupling constants have opposite sign. Keywords
