Abstract
The number of new registrations of oral cancer each year is approximately 2500, or 2% of all neoplasms, and the number of deaths 1,200. Factors which are thought to be responsible for the bad prognosis of mouth cancer are reviewed, and specific problems are discussed. Present-day concepts of treatment are summarized and new avenues for improving the prognosis are suggested. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
