Abstract
En échelon ridges and fractures formed in the alluvium adjacent to the Fairview fault scarp reflect the lateral movement of the fault blocks and demonstrate the stress orientation near the fault. Detailed mapping shows that some of the minor features are shears and compressional ridges of the third order related to a north-south acting force. Keywords
