Notes on Opossums, bats, and rodents new to the fauna of Colombia

Abstract
Records of mammals new to the fauna of Colombia are presented. Eleven species, 1 opossum, 8 bats and 2 rodents are discussed: Marmosa lepida, Peronymus leucopterus, Centronycteris maximilliani, Tonatia brasiliense, Chrotopterus auritus, Sturnira erythromos, cf. Vampyrops aurarius, Vampyressa melissa, Centurio senex, Sciurus spadiceus and Mesomys hispidus. The 2nd and 3rd Colombian localities for Lutreolina crassicaudata are also provided. Accounts include comments on taxonomy, distribution, reproduction and habitat. Some species are rare or poorly known in collections and selected measurements are provided for most. Lists of additional mammals collected or observed at 3 localities in Colombia are also included.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
