Abstract
Pyruvate (glyoxylate) aminotransferase is found in the peroxisomal and mitochondrial matrices, and in soluble fractions of rat liver homogenates. Soluble activity is from broken peroxisomes. Differential solubility of the mitochondrial and peroxisomal enzymes in digitonin can be used to assay the two activities separately. Keywords
