Abstract
The Fierz-Pauli theory of particles of spin- in interaction with the electromagnetic field is used to calculate the cross section in Born approximation for Compton scattering by such particles. The bremsstrahlung cross section is estimated by the method of virtual quanta. The magnitude of these cross sections rules out the possibility that the mu meson is such a particle.
