Abstract
BACKGROUND.Staphylococcus aureus strains carrying the genes encoding Panton-Valentine leukocidin (pvl-positive [pvl+]) are associated with more febrile days and higher complication rates of osteomyelitis in children than are pvl-negative (pvl−) strains.Keywords
