Abstract
Presentation of CaseA thirty-five-year-old man entered the hospital because of lower thoracic and lumbar pain.At the age of nine the patient had fallen from a horse and had pain in the lumbar spine for several weeks thereafter. He had been well for the subsequent eighteen years except for two or three short periods of pain after injuries to the back while he was playing football.
