Abstract
In this survey the different imaging techniques used in the study by electron microscopy of domains and domain walls in solids are briefly summarized. In a first part the characteristic contrast features observed in electron micrographs of domains in a ‘single’ crystal are described for the different kinds of domain structures. An example of application to the problem of the configuration of domains and domain walls in silver niobate (AgNbO3) is discussed in a second part of this paper. Keywords
