Abstract
Agents which promote micellization of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) improve LAS hard‐water detergency performance by reducing water hardness sensitivity. A model is proposed which correlates micellization and water hardness tolerance. The ability of inorganic salts and cosurfactants to act as micelle promotion agents is discussed. Keywords
