Abstract
Manganese concentration was determined by activation analysis in formalin preserved human liver tissue from 20 cases of hemochromatosis and 20 cases without liver disease. The concentration of Mn was significantly higher in the hemachromatotic group, supporting the hypothesis that Mn absorption is increased in hemochromatosis and may plan a role in the etiology of liver cirrhosis in that disease. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
