Abstract
Failure to consider histiocytosis X in the differential diagnosis of hypothalamic masses may lead to inappropriate empirical radiotherapy. A case of histiocytosis X of the hypothalamus, unassociated with systemic histiocytic lesions, is reported, in which early biopsy allowed specific therapy with subsequent total regression of the lesion. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
