Effect of Vagotomy on Gastric Evacuation of High-Fat Meals

Abstract
Partial gastrectomy with gastroenterostomy or vagotomy with gastroenterostomy greatly accelerated the gastric evacuation of high-fat meals. Apparently gastric evacuation after fat ingestion is largely controlled by nervous reflex mechanisms mediated via the vagus nerves.Keywords
