Abstract
THE return of the London Times after publication had been suspended for nearly a year on account of a prolonged industrial dispute, largely concerned with levels of manpower and the introduction of new technology, has been generally welcomed although it is not too clear how much has been achieved by either side.The issue of November 13 was the first to appear since November 30, 1978, and the newspaper resumed its customary task of commenting on the affairs of the nation in a wide ranging editorial,1 which warned that low productivity is the industrial disease that is threatening to kill . . .
