Abstract
This paper provides a general overview of the concrete production and placement process on nuclear power plant construction projects. Particular emphasis is directed towards those practices that differ significantly from commerical concrete construction practices. The paper deals specifically with: (1)The batch plant facility; (2)material quatification of cement, aggregate, and water; (3)material storage requirements; (4)formwork; (5)reinforcement; (6)cadwelding; (7)concrete placement; (8)consolidation; and (9)acceptance criteria.Keywords
