Abstract
My object in this paper is to invite attention to results achieved from a clinical and experimental study of coccidioidal granuloma in experimental animals and in human beings, covering a period of three years. During this period, I observed, treated and studied nineteen patients suffering from this dreaded disease, and carried out some experimental work on guinea-pigs in connection with the probable mode of transmission. The preliminary results of this study, as based on the treatment of six patients of this series with colloidal copper and on the experimental work alluded to, were recorded in two consecutive communications which appeared inCalifornia and Western Medicinein 19271and 1928.2Since the publication of these articles, I have had the opportunity of further study of the disease in thirteen additional patients.
