Abstract
Small, unilateral lesions, which damage exclusively the anteroventral region of the caudate nucleus of the cat, produce a stable and permanent behavioral change resembling human athetoid and choreiform hyperkinesias. These symptoms are not seen after generalized destrulction of the caudate nuicleuts. Keywords
