Abstract
SUMMARY: Thirty‐one patients with myasthenia gravis were studied for their HL‐A antigen expression. Eighteen patients had family members available for HL‐A typing, and full genotyping for HL‐A antigens was possible. The inheritance of HL‐A8 was studied in detail, and it was noted that this did not correlate exactly with the development of myasthenia gravis. The multifactorial nature of the genetic component of this disease was confirmed by these studies. Keywords
