Abstract
The effects of different rations on the bulk amino acid composition, pepsin digestibility and protein quality of rumen bacterial (B) protozoal (P) and total recoverable microbial cell mass (P plus B) preparations were studied. Results showed that the bulk amino acid composition and the protein quality of the microbial preparations were not affected by change of ration. The digestibility of the microbial proteins was not modified by feeding different rations to sheep except for the P and P plus B preparations from sheep fed ration 1. Copyright © 1968.
