A Method for Concentrating Hemoflagellates

Abstract
Cryptobia in flounders were concentrated by allowing several drops of whole unoxalated flounder blood to clot, the organisms escaping into the surrounding serum as coagulation occurred. Numerous cryptobias were detected each time the technique was applied with known positive blood. Further concentration was accomplished by centrifuga-tion when desired. Trypanosomes from frogs, rats and newts were also concentrated by this method.
