Abstract
The avg. BMR is elevated in all forms of toxic goiter, and is accompanied by an increase in unfractionated whole blood I. Patients with nontoxic nodular goiter did not have an increase in whole blood I. A probable association between basal metabolic rates and whole blood I was demonstrated in non-toxic nodular, toxic nodular, and exophthalmic goiter. Keywords
