Abstract
The rheological examination of pharmaceutical preparations has not often taken into account the contributions of viscoelasticity. Many semi-solids have been treated as liquids and observed in continuous shear. The present paper describes a concentric cylinder creep apparatus designed to enable viscoelastic parameters to be measured. A resumé of current theory is given and some experimental data analysed. Keywords
