Abstract
A SiO2-attached one-atomic layer amorphous niobium-oxide catalyst was prepared by the two-stage attaching reaction between silanol groups and Nb(OC2H5)5 followed by chemical treatments with H2O and O2. The one-atomic layer Nb oxide catalyst was found to be active and selective for ethene formation from ethanol. Keywords
