Abstract
In 37 children with known malignant tumors, a total of 39 lung nodules developed after diagnosis of the primary disease. In 26 children the nodules were metastatic lesions, in 13 (including two with metastasis) the nodules were benign. The fact that 33% of lesions were benign indicates that lung nodules in children with known malignancy cannot be assumed to represent metastasis. The chest radiographs of the children were reviewed. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
