Abstract
Fenoterol and isoproternol metered-dos inhalers were compared in 30 asthmatic patients by a double-blind, parallel-group study. FEV1 [forced expiratory volume in 1s] and FEF 25-75% [forced expiratory flow at 25-75%] values recorded after single doses on days 1, 45 and 90 of a 3-mo. continuous treatment period showed that mean increases over baseline were significantly greater and lasted longer with fenoterol.
