Abstract
Mice were kept in air at half atmospheric pressure for either 19 or 54 days before being killed, and the necropsy findings compared with controls. The 19 hypoxic mice all had right ventricular hypertrophy, but of the lungs of the 19 hypoxic mice, in only 12 were there changes in the pulmonary arterioles. The changes in the pulmonary arterioles are related to the hypoxia, but their appearance is to some extent dependent on the susceptibility of the animal. Keywords
