A Brain-Wave "Correlator"

Abstract
A new instrument for analyzing the electrical activity of the brain consists of 2 square-wave generators, actuated by the outputs of 2 channels of an electroencephalograph. The "voltage" of this composite square-wave, as read on a suitably lagged and calibrated A-C voltmeter, indicates the fraction of the total time during which the 2 inputs are of the same sign. Although these instruments are in clinical and exptl. use, it is too soon to estimate their value.
