Abstract
The factors limiting observations with the transmission electron microscope on structure and configuration of biomacromolecules are discussed and evaluated. The present limitations are set by methods of specimen preparation and mounting. The experimental instrument we have developed that will be used to extend the spatial information content obtainable from the weakly scattering biological materials is described. Keywords
