Abstract
The extension of the Teller-Redlich product rule to the substitution of different atoms or groups, which was previously applied to the methyl benzenes, is here applied to the halogenated methanes. The rule is found to hold accurately enough to be useful in assigning fundamental frequencies or in computing unobserved fundamentals. Keywords
