Abstract
Clinical blackhead eliminated cecal worms completely in half of the turkeys so involved, and reduced to half the number of worms in the remainder of the diseased turkeys. Female heterakids in diseased turkeys were 5.6% shorter than those of corresponding age from normal turkeys, but male worms were usually not retarded. The results for chickens closely paralleled those for turkeys. The average lengths of both male and female worms recovered from birds not showing clinical blackhead are given for 13 ages from 5 to 63 days, and the common range in length for worms of each sex is given for 10 ages from 10 to 63 days. Keywords
