Abstract
In the preceding paper See this issue, page 331. , experimental investigations of current oscillations in GaAs are reported. In this paper the conditions of occurrence of a current instability is discussed in the limits of the small‐signal theory. Calculated values of the threshold field and of his variations with the involved parameters are found in agreement with the experiments. Keywords
