Abstract
Preview On the heels of a long line of improvements in thyroid function testing has come a highly sensitive first-line test for monitoring patients being treated for primary hypothyroidism. According to the authors of this article, the immunoradiometric assay for thyrotropin “brings a new accuracy and simplicity—in both conceptual and practical terms—” to the follow-up of these patients. Keywords
