Abstract
Proglottids of the cestode M. variabilis were stained with methyl green-pyronin. The cytoplasm of the subcuticular, muscle, reproductive, uterine, parenchymal and embryonic plastin cells was colored intensely red by pyronin. Ribonuclease acting in a veronal-acetate buffer of pH 6.7 removed most of the pyronin stainable substance, demonstrating that it was ribonucleic acid. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
