Abstract
The total absorption due to two narrow, identical spectral lines, of equal strength and width, is computed as a function of two parameters, γ and σ, where γ characterizes the frequency distance of the two lines, while σ is proportional to the product of the number of absorbing particles (per unit volume) and the thickness of the absorbing layer. This represents the so-calledKeywords
