Abstract
Electron detectors have been made both for emissive and for transmission studies in the scanning electron microscope by depositing scintillation/phosphor material as a thin film on preshaped perspex rods. Compared with typical commercially available units, the light pipes are of low cost, comparable efficiency and can have a good service life. Keywords
